Pumpkin & Jug Alla Prima Still Life

Pumpkin & Jug
8 x 10 Oil, Alla Prima
Carole Rodrigue ©2014

Today's painting is just finished and still very wet and shiny.  The rich colours of fall are everywhere and what would fall be without a few pumpkins and gourds around? I have more gourds too, just waiting to be painted.  I hope I can get around to them.  I also hope you enjoy this painting.  If you do, it's now up on eBay.

Antique Whiskey Jug & Apples Daily Painting

Antique Whiskey Jug & Apples
8 x 10 Oil
Carole Rodrigue ©2014

This whiskey jug has been sitting in my studio collecting dust for years.  It has been very much neglected, I must say, and I think it's high time I started painting it more.  I absolutely love how it looks in paintings so I can't say why I haven't painted it more often.  I've visualized so many different paintings with it in mind yet have never gotten around to any of them.  So, here's to starting to paint this jug more often!

If you like this one, it is now up on eBay for auction.

Bottles is completed and another painting has also been completed as well.  This photo is not clear.  I really need to get some quality photographs done with my good camera and update my site.  I had taken some the other day, outside, but once I looked at them on the computer, there was too much glare even though taken in the shade.  I'm hoping to be able to take good shots tomorrow.  Thanks for looking, and the new painting follows.  Hope you enjoy them!

P.S.  The Sudbury Art Club's Spring Show is next weekend at the CNIB Hall at the corner of Regent and York in Sudbury.  There will be a wine and cheese on Friday night and it's free for anyone to attend.  Please do come pay us a visit, enjoy a glass of wine, look at wonderful art, and meet great artists!  It starts Friday at 7:00, then runs Sat. and Sunday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm on Sunday.  I will post the official poster invite tomorrow.
